How PULSE measures your connection
Ping is measured as the best-case round trip across six short requests to a nearby network edge. Jitter is the average variation between consecutive round trips. Download and upload are measured by streaming real data over multiple parallel connections for a fixed window and timing actual bytes transferred — not a simulation. Because it relies on a shared public network edge rather than a dedicated test server, results are a solid estimate of your real-world speed but may vary slightly from single-purpose test services.
